Hiab has launched a crane and chassis combo for the SME market, which it claims can be built in less than a week.

Known as the T-Boom Frameworks, the crane can lift 995kg at 1.2 metres and has a maximum lift of 430kg at 4.2 metres. The firm said it can be fitted to any type of chassis and cab and is aimed at sole traders and small supply chain operators, such as groundworkers, builders and landscape gardeners.

It is the first time it has offered a crane and chassis directly from its installation centres, and said the quick turnaround was conceived to help operators respond to changing market conditions, along with a likely rise in the number of self-employed traders and small businesses.

“In the last six months, the marketplace has changed considerably for businesses and many are looking for greater flexibility when it comes to investing in new equipment,” said Hiab’s UK managing director, Ian Mitchell.

“The Hiab T-Boom Frameworks is a quick full body and crane solution for people handling close-range heavy lifting needs. There is no welding on installation and the crane can be mounted on any corner of the chassis.

“Never before have we offered a one-stop-shop to customers and we are really excited to be launching our Hiab T-Boom Frameworks at a time when we’re expecting to see an increase in sole traders and small business owners establishing new business ventures.”
