Snap Account is to expand its cashless services including HGV parking and washing into Europe with hundreds of new partners in countries France, Germany and Slovakia.

More than 35,000 foreign drivers already use Snap for secure parking and other services in the UK but now the company is hoping to bring on new partner sites and users with a push into mainland Europe.

Chris Billing, Snap Account MD, says: “Everyone is running away from Europe, but we can see huge growth there. Our services make life easier for the driver, the fleet and the site, and our customers want to use our services in Europe with security, safety and the ability to park safely without cash.”

Snap Account already has four operational sites in Europe, two of which are in Calais (pictured), but hopes to sign up some of the 1,500 European fleet operators that are currently using its services in the UK.

“Big fleets have a problem managing their own depot occupancy, they often don’t know how many spaces they fill in their own depot. We can help manage that and at the same time generate additional revenue, by providing safe secure parking for others,” Billing added.

“Crime in Europe is incredible. There’s free parking all over the place but you’ll get robbed if you park up. Organised crime is everywhere, they’ll attach a tracker to your trailer in Poland and a gang will rob you when you park up in France. There is definitely a demand for secure parking, and there isn’t enough of it,” Billing concluded.
