KNP Logistics Group has added an 22 MAN TGX to its fleet with 39 more vehicles from the manufacturer still to come.
Joining the already 148-stong truck fleet will be 10 TGM 15-tonne curtainsiders, along with 10 at 18-tonne GVW and a further four at 26 tonnes. In addition to the 22 new TGX tractor units, another 15 trucks will also be added.
Paul Abbott, KNP Group Director, said: “With safety at the forefront of group decisions, MAN’s OptiView digital exterior mirrors/cameras, blind spot sensors and turn assist sensors were key to the decision process.”
“The new generation model has improved precision handling, excellent visibility and adaptive cruise control. The 470’s perform well for us across varying applications and the Enhanced Specifications tick all the boxes for both driver and operator.”
By Feb 2022 the group will have 170 MAN’s on its fleet, ranging from TGE panel vans to 44 tonne tractors.
Abbott added: “MAN has underpinned KNP operations since the onset but in particular during the 2020/21 Covid challenges, it’s a relationship we look forward to pursuing as we all move towards emission free transport.”
