Compliant route solution provider Lorry Route will launch its new routing system at the Road Transport Expo.
Building on its existing fleet management and mobile phone navigation platforms, the new system is designed to offer faster and more accurate routes for HGVs.
Lorry Route’s software focuses on ensuring HGVs travel using compliant routes.
This includes following vehicle weight restrictions, bridge heights, tunnel restrictions, schemes like the London Lorry Control Scheme, and local authority requirements for HGVs.
Drivers and fleet managers can choose between the shortest or fastest routes and plan their day around departure and arrival times.
The system works by drawing on data such as vehicle dimensions, route destinations, date and time of journey, road requirements, temporary road closures and low emission zones.
Lorry Route can be set up on a monthly or annual subscription basis for any size fleet.
For customers with mixed fleets that also include smaller vehicles like vans, Lorry Route can be used to ensure these vehicles travel on compliant routes too. When setting the system up, the customer just needs to add vehicle dimensions to ensure the correct requirements are followed based on the vehicle type.
Road Transport Expo takes place from 4-6 June at NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. It is completely free to attend for visitors, so why not book your place today?!
