Specialist traction and container haulier Myers Group has added four new MAN TGX 26.510 6x2s to its 72-strong truck fleet, and has another 10 on order.

The GX-cabbed tractors have been well specified, and include the optional Storage and Driver Comfort packages. Amongst other features, these packages add fridges, microwaves, kettles, electric sun blinds and dash-mounted fold-out tables.

Tony Myers, MD of the Maidstone-based family-owned firm, said: “MAN TGX tractors have played a major part in our vehicle fleet for some years now. They have proved reliable, extremely efficient and robust and we’re looking forward to the New Generation vehicles continuing this theme.”

Myers said the latest TGXs, the first of which joined the fleet in January, are delivering an average of 10.2mpg, which is 4% above the fleet average.

The new Myers Group vehicles have been supplied by MAN Truck & Bus UK’s Direct Truck Sales function, and will be maintained by PCL Group at its Maidstone branch.
