Microlise, organisers of what has become Europe's largest transport conference, is to take over the third day (1 October) of the virtual conference at the new Commercial Motor Show, bringing the usual mix of presentations by senior industry figures in the fields of compliance, new technology and data.

The Commercial Motor Show will be a free, three-day virtual exhibition and conference starting on 29 September and has already attracted the support of leading truck makers including DAF, Isuzu, MAN and Mercedes-Benz. More exhibitors are being signed up every day as support grows for this new concept, launched by Commercial Motor magazine after the postponement of most face to face events this year due to Covid-19.

The first two days of the conference will feature presentations on key issues facing the transport industry, ranging from recovery from lockdown to skills shortages and Brexit to cutting carbon emissions. Registered ‘visitors’ will be able to put questions to the speakers and take part in virtual discussions with other delegates.

The exhibition will enable visitors to watch videos and chat with hundreds of manufacturers and service providers from all sectors of the road transport industry.
