MJ Products (3A10) is exhibiting its VanMate range of lifts ideally suited for light commercial vehicles.

“Trucks have tail-lifts and Luton vans do too, but there’s nothing for panel vans,” said Mark Jackson, owner of MJ Products.

VanMate uses a main lifting mast with a pump system to quickly and easily move items in or out of a vehicle. Together with a patented slider system, VanMate can move up to 250kg at a time and position items right at the bulkhead of a van. The system has been created in conjunction with Euro Car Parts to test its durability.

“We’ve worked extensively with one partner to prove our lifting and slider system. Previously they used a one piece tote-lifter for moving plastic boxes into the store that weighed 60kg and couldn’t be lifted into the vans. Now we’ve made it modular with three parts to the design.”

VanMate consists of a 17kg lifting mast, a trolley which is available in four versions types to suite different terrains and a lifting accessory. These accessories currently number around five, but Jackson says he doesn’t want to market the attachments and limit the scope of what customers could do with the product.

VanMate is prices from £695 which includes a trolley, mast and set of lifting forks, while the slider rails which enable heavy items like an oil drum or container to be moved and secured cost from as little as £20 and can be self-installed.
