Motus-owned dealer groups Orwell Truck & Van and S & B Commercials are developing a new truck and van sales supersite in Essex to better serve the area.
The £4m investment will see a flagship site open by the end of the year in the town of Witham with nine full-length truck and trailer bays.
Three of the bays will have 22-metre pits, with one of them being used as an Authorised Testing Facility for on-site truck MoT tests.
The new centre will have late opening hours, six days a week with the three-acre site also getting a further eight bays for van maintenance and repairs, as well as MoT tests of Class 4, 5 and 7 categories.
Truck wash facilities are also being installed, while the parts department will carry an extended range of Mercedes-Benz GenuineParts to supply the workshop as well as over-the-counter customers, own account and independent maintenance facilities across Essex, Suffolk, and Hertfordshire.
Lee Seward, the MD of Orwell Truck & Van and S & B Commercials, said: “The Witham project has been a long time in the planning and it’s tremendously exciting now that it’s finally a reality. Given its fantastic location, the new aftersales centre is going to play a big part in our growth strategy, as we strive to restrict vehicle downtime to an absolute minimum for our customers.”
