Hiab has launched its new Jonsered iZ.18R HD recycling crane. The crane is equipped with the company’s advanced control system SPACEevo which improves productivity and safety. This expands Hiabs recycling crane products into the 18 to 19tm segment.

As well as enhancing safety, the SPACEevo control system allows customers to personalise their settings to boost efficiency. The crane is fitted with an Olsbergs Q200 main valve with new hydraulics, sensors, and cables to make the system durable for high frequency use cycles.

Given the truck-mounted crane sector of the market this crane is aiming at, the Jonsered iZ.18R HD is designed to operate for a minimum of eight hour working cycles. Its structure is classified as an S3 and it comes in multiple variations from 8.6m to 10m reach.

Depending on the application, the model is available with high seat, side seat (left or right), platform and cabin configurations. High seat, and side seat options will be available to begin with while platform and cabin designs will be introduced later.

Optional features are available for the control stations with a choice of mechanical steering, remote controlled or electric joysticks. These joysticks are a market first and are fully weatherproof without the need to add a protective cover. The joysticks can control all functions of the crane and stabilisers.

The new crane can be had with a ProCare service contract. This includes regular preventative maintenance checks and scheduled inspections to keep the crane in the best condition. Customers can opt for the total repair and maintenance package which includes repairs. Depending on the market, plan details vary.
