North West Roofing Supplies has given the thumbs up to the performance of four Isuzu Urban 7.5 tonne rigids, after they were added to its 26-strong fleet last summer.

Operating from four depots across the region, North West Roofing Supplies buys four trucks at a time, one for each depot, a with the Urban N75.150 rigids the latest addition and has bought Isuzus for the past 14 years.

Steve Phillips, MD at North West Roofing Supplies, said:  “Without a shadow of a doubt, Isuzus are the perfect tool for our job.

“We cannot speak highly enough of the importance of all the Isuzus in our fleet over the past 14 years.

"We have worked them hard but they have consistently proved to be extremely reliable in operation and the 7.5 tonners are giving us an impressive payload close to 4 tonnes.”

"We have had no issues at all with any of the 2012 spec Isuzus and the main reason for changing them [last year] was the opportunity to fit a larger 6.5m dropside body onto the new chassis so that they can comfortably carry the longest timber batons that we deliver to site," he said.

The Isuzus were by local dealer Warrington Vehicle Centre.

North West Roofing Supplies anticipates that these latest Isuzus will have a working life of between five and six years.
