RB: What is your favourite holiday destination?
EW: The Maldives - it’s so remote and tranquil you have no choice but to relax.

RB: What car do you drive?
EW: Alfa Romeo Giulia.

RB: What are your hobbies?
EW: Reading, jogging and cleaning up after my two little daughters.

RB: What is your favourite TV programme?
EW: The Big Bang Theory.

RB: What celebrity would you most like to meet?
EW: Jeremy Clarkson, due to a shared love of vehicles and self-expression.

RB: How did you get into the industry?
EW: My family have been in haulage my whole life and I grew up with a love of vehicles. My first role in the industry was through a contact of my dad who owned a Citroën garage. He needed a salesman and I needed a job.

RB: How would you encourage more young people into the industry?
EW: Get more people doing work experience, internships and apprenticeships. The industry has a mixed reputation, but the enthusiasm and energy of the people is infectious.

RB: What is the outlook for your sector of the market over the next 12 months?
EW: That the recent market slowdown will stabilise.

RB: How is Iveco different from the competition?
EW: Of our willingness to innovate and to make our customers’ operations more efficient; for example the Daily NP - our CNG-powered van and chassis cab range - and Daily Electric. We were the first manufacturer to sell 3.5-tonne electric vans. The Daily Hi-Matic is the most advanced automatic transmission van on the market.
