Buckinghamshire-based R Jameson Event Transport has taken delivery of two new Schmitz Cargobull Mega trailers for carrying flight cases and staging equipment across Europe.
The trailers, built on the Schmitz Cargobull Modulos bolted chassis, have Ferroplast panels, which according to the manufacturer, are tougher than conventional bodywork and thinner, offering additional internal volume. Other features include ferry hold down shackles and five rows of load lock tracking for extra load security.
They include 10-year warranties against rust-through on all galvanised parts. R Jameson Event Transport runs a 25-strong trailer fleet from its main site in Marlow, more than half of which are Schmitz Cargobull.
Company owner Richard Jameson said the trailers will be operational seven days a week during busy periods. “We like our current Schmitz Cargobull trailers because they’re robust and that’s essential when you’re carrying bulky, heavy exhibition gear that would knock and damage a lesser trailer", he said.
"When we needed new assets for our European fleet, Schmitz Cargobull was our first choice, we know these trailers will be part of our fleet for a very long time because the build quality is superb. Our technicians always say Schmitz Cargobull trailers are a dream to work on because the way they’re constructed makes them easy to maintain, but as they’re so well made it’s rare they are off the road.”
