Hymix mixers have been acquired by Sterling GP, the Yorkshire-based beavertail and step frame trailer maker.

The brand, design rights and some assets of the Hymix concrete mixer range have been taken on by family-owned Sterling, which has tripled in size during the past five years.

Sterling has been looking for new products to add to their portfolio for some time and will now manufacture the new Hymix mixers at their existing five Acre site in Stokesley, North Yorkshire.

Jarl James, Sterling sales director said: “The Hymix truck concrete mixer is a perfect fit for our business, and the engineering ability of our team will allow us to further develop the product and manufacturing process. We believe the sales and customer service expertise offered by our team will be well received by concrete mixer operators across the country. The initial reception from operators we have spoken has been very positive.

The first new mixers will be rolling off the production by the end of the year and will expanding their warehouse to offer spare parts.
