Suttons Group has bought 800 baffle isotanks in a £10m deal to boost its ability to move a wider range of liquids and fluids.
The company, which delivers products and services to the chemicals, gases, fuels and food sectors, will now have more baffle tanks than non-baffle tanks.
The firm has already taken delivery of 500 of the baffle isotanks, with the remaining 300 set to enter operation during the next six months.
Andrew Baird, Suttons Group technical services director, said: “These new isotanks, which are being added to the deep-sea fleet and deployed around the world, give us greater flexibility and the ability to carry a broader range of products.
“Our continued focus on safety ensures there is also full compliance with the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code.”
Suttons has a UK fleet of 500 vehicles. It also operates internationally including in New Jersey, Houston, Antwerp, and Singapore.
