West Yorkshire-based haulier Tom Moorhouse and Son has taken 12 new DAF XF tractor units from Motus Commercials Huddersfield.

The new DAF XF 530 FTG Super Space tractor units will join a largely DAF fleet at the general haulage and warehousing business which is currently managed by the fourth and fifth generations of the Moorhouse family.

Josie Galloway, finance director at Tom Moorhouse and Son said: “We’ve always had DAF’s on the fleet and as a family business we prefer to work with local partners and support other British businesses. We have worked with Motus Commercials Huddersfield for many years for both the supply and aftersales of our vehicles; their extended opening hours mean they’re able to offer flexibility and reduce our downtime. With DAF Trucks built in Britain too, it’s a winning combination.”

“Overall, we are very impressed by the improvement in the average MPG and our drivers have commented that the comfort and driveability of the vehicles are second to none,” she added.
