Halesowen-based mobile and fixed lifts supplier TotalKare is focussed on increasing business after being purchased as part of a management buy-out.

The company has been bought by a team led by David Hall, existing chairman Mike Lord and fellow directors James Radford and Peter Geobey, supported by Santander Bank. Hall said: “This strong platform for growth owes a lot to the hard work and vision of former MD Tim Jackson and technical director Michael Gilliam.

“In the short-term, we want to build on our reputation for delivering solutions, so that it is about much more than just selling a specific set of lifts.” Hall said the new ownership team is looking to grow the business by 20% over the next 18 months.

This will be achieved by expanding market share for its two- and four-post fixed lifts and developing its online training programmes that reduce the time engineers need to be out of the workshop. Hall added: “It’s about the complete customer experience from their first contact through to initial site assessment, the training we provide and our best-in-class R&M packages.”

Recent customers include dealers Barnes Guildford (DAF) and MTC Northwest, and Chelmsford-based operator Heavy Haul.
