Tunnell Grab Services is continuing its decade-long relationship with Continental tyres.

Its fleet of tipper grab lorries (including the Scania XT seen here), diggers and dumper trucks work on challenging surfaces in construction and waste management applications. The Surrey-based company works with the authorised tyre distributor Fuller Tyres to supply the right tyres for its specialist vehicles.

Gavin Tunnell, owner of Tunnell Grab Services said: “After we decided to equip our fleet with products from Continental’s comprehensive tyre catalogue, it wasn’t long before we began to realise the gains of our investment. From a lowest overall driving cost perspective, vehicles in our fleet equipped with Continental tyres can run further for longer periods, with fewer breakdowns. Punctures, in particular, have been majorly reduced.

“Unlike other products we’ve tried before, Continental’s tyres are perfectly suited for the unique operating conditions both in and out of landfill sites, and on off-road jobs where large amounts of traction are required. More broadly, their holistic approach to tyre solutions directly meets the specific needs of our business, and their premium product offering represents unrivalled value for money.”

Tunnell added: “Over the years, our relationship with the team at Continental has gone from strength to strength, thanks to their unwavering commitment to excellence in both products and services. Their personalised approach consistently demonstrates an ability to listen to and understand our needs, which are met with carefully tailored solutions.

"For operators looking to upgrade their tyres, particularly in industries that heavily rely on off-road rubber such as the grab and concrete sectors, opting for Continental's construction tyres, just as we have, is a no-brainer. Continental’s tyres offer the reliability and performance essential for our operations – and it’s all complemented by exceptional customer service that ensures we have the support we need, whenever we need it.”
