Volvo has opened the registration process for the Volvo International Service Training Awards (VISTA) 2019-2020, and has predicted that up to 20,000 technicians could take part.

Currently VISTA entries from the UK total 55 teams of four, which is already half of last year’s total; 110.

Taking place every two years, VISTA helps encourage Volvo Trucks’ mechanics to work together to solve various problems which it claims, will in turn lead to an improvement in customer service and satisfaction.

The Swedish manufacturer stated that these technicians could be spread across an estimated 5,000 teams, who will be working to increase their knowledge of the Volvo products and the standard of the work done.

President of Volvo Trucks Roger Alm, said: “VISTA shows how important our technicians are and the competition improves our skills so we can deliver outstanding service provided by the best service crews in the world.”
