JJX Logistics is to auction its Wolverhampton Wanderers-themed DAF XF in aid of breast cancer charity Legacy4Lucy on 18 September.
Known as the Sir Jack DAF, the tractor unit sports orange paintwork in keeping with the club’s strip and a series of liveries depicting the team. It has a reserve of £15,600 and the company said all profits above that figure will go to the charity.
The vehicle – a 460bhp mid-lift XF Super Space Cab – is still in use, but viewings can be booked by appointment by emailing emily.hyde@jjxlogistics.co.uk. The firm said a dedicated auction website would be set up closer to the sale date.
Equipment includes a Bluetooth stereo, built-in navigation system, alloy wheels, black leather mats, a pull-out fridge/freezer and two bunks.
In a statement on its website, JJX said the auction was a replacement for its usual annual charity event, due to restrictions as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
