Used Bedford trucks and vans for sale

Bedford Vehicles was formed in 1930 by General Motors (GM). With manufacturing plants in Luton and Dunstable, the company was, by the 1960s and 70s, a major truck and light van manufacturer, and a substantial exporter of British built vehicles in particular the Bedford TK.

In the 1980s a lack of investment saw its ageing line up being overtaken by manufacturers, truck production ceased and the Dunstable plant closed in 1986. The Bedford name continued on light vans for a number of years but most of these were rebadged vehicles from partnerships with other companies such as Isuzu and Suzuki.

The Luton plant continues to produce vans and light commercials under the Vauxhall badge, a GM brand.
