Used Leyland trucks for sale
Truck building began in the Lancashire town of Leyland in 1896 and continues to this day. Leyland Trucks built some famous models much sought after today by restoration enthusiasts such as the Buffalo, the Super Comet and the Octopus. By 1950 Leyland had absorbed the truck makers Scammell and Albion. In the 1980s, a new high-tech assembly plant was opened to produce the T45 range which went on to win the Truck of the Year award. In 1987 Leyland Trucks merged with Dutch truck producer DAF, and by 1998 PACCAR had acquired both DAF Trucks and the Leyland factory. The Leyland plant now produces the DAF LF, DAF CF and DAF XF range for UK and export markets.
