The Smith Electric Vehicles (SEV) Newton truck was the first electric truck brought in to full production as a 7.5, 10 and 12 tonne vehicle. Available with short, medium or long wheelbases, the truck is powered by a 120 kilowatt motor with battery packs of either 80kWh or 120kWh with a range from 40 to 100 miles. Customers included TNT, DHL and Balfour Beatty and its top speed is 50mph.
