Commercial Vehicle Auctions Ltd (CVA) is a long-established light and heavy commercial vehicle, car, plant and equipment auction house operating from purpose-built facilities in Doncaster in South Yorkshire and Hemel Hempstead near London.
Truck and trailer auctions are held every other Tuesday in Doncaster, van and car auctions are held in Doncaster every other Thursday, on alternate weeks to the truck auctions held in the town. There are also monthly plant and machinery auctions held in Doncaster. In Hemel Hempstead there are combined truck, van and plant auctions every other Wednesday.
At each truck and trailer auction there are more than 100 lots up for sale. Note that for some auctions, pre-booking is required – check the CVA website for details.
The high-quality trucks at the auctions come from all the major manufacturers – from Scania and Volvo to Mercedes-Benz and Iveco – and in all shapes and sizes too from tractor units downwards. The trucks come from a range of sources, from company liquidations, ex-council vehicles, leasing companies, regular operators and more.
CVA can also conduct off-site customer auctions at customers’ own premises, for example if there is a retirement sale, general disposal or fleet reduction sale.
In addition, CVA has a logistics team that can collect and deliver vehicles to and from destinations across the UK.
CVA, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2019, was a finalist in the ‘auction house of the year’ category at the 2018 Commercial Motor Awards.
CVA is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ballyvesey Group, which is based in Northern Ireland.
