Weightlifter Bodies is one of the oldest truck body builders in the country, having been trading for more than 80 years.
The company, which is still family-owned, sells a wide range of new and used tipping semi-trailers, rigid bodies, walking floors and ancillary equipment, all at competitive prices.
Part of the reason for Weightlifter’s longevity is its continual development in new techniques and investment in new technology, so it always stays at the cutting edge. Its manufacturing processes use automated welding, plasma cutting technology and sheeter solutions combined with state-of-the-art paint techniques.
Based in Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire, Weightlifter has been a pioneer in the design and build of such things as sloper frames chassis, hollow alloy interlocking plankside bodies and half barrel trailers.
All of Weightlifter’s step frame, sloper frame and straight frame tipper trailer chassis are all built in-house by experienced coded steel welders. All chassis have been designed and undergone a finite element analysis to ensure they are structurally sound.
Meanwhile, the company’s rigid tipper bodies are made with hardened aluminium to ensure they are built to last. Its alloy bodies are manufactured for specific applications such as transporting asphalt, sand, gravel, agricultural and waste products.
Weightlifter products are certified and compliant with National Small Series Type Approval or European Whole Vehicle Type Approval.
In addition, Weightlifter has a workshop staffed by highly skilled professionals who can service and repair all types of bodies in aluminium and steel regardless of the manufacturer, as well as chassis.
