DAF Trucks is due to display two flagship models at RTX Scotland at Glasgow’s SEC from 19th to 20th November. A new generation DAF XG+530 FTS tag-axle 6x2 tractor will showcase the best of long haul comfort while an XD Electric 350 FT 4x2 tractor will demonstrate DAF’s zero emission solutions.

Attendees are expected to include operators from Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England. The inaugural RTX Scotland will build on the success of the annual exhibition at Stoneleigh. As well as DAF’s own stand, the manufacturer will be joined by local dealer partners who can discuss the range and service support solutions available.

A highlight of the show will be the RTX Scotland Big Debate: Future Truck Technology. DAF’s EV and connected services director, Louis Jones, will take to the stage alongside other industry leaders to discuss what the future of HGV technology looks like. The debate is expected to touch on topics including fuel types, connectivity, safety and automation. Attendees will also be invited to ask questions during the session.

Phil Moon, marketing manager at DAF Trucks, said, “RTX Scotland presents an exciting new opportunity to connect with operators across Scotland and Northern Ireland, and to show exactly why DAF continues to lead the way in truck design and innovation. We’re proud to be part of the first event and look forward to welcoming visitors to experience how DAF is delivering real-world performance – from our proven diesel range to our new electric trucks.

“Our New Generation DAF range continues to set benchmarks for driver comfort, safety and total operating economy, with our XG+ 530 standing as the flagship of our premium line-up. Alongside it, the XD Electric demonstrates that zero-emission road transport is not just a concept; it’s here, it’s practical and it’s built for real-world heavy-duty operations.”
